6th Grade Science

Bio: I graduated from University of Charleston in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Medicine and Athletic Training. After working in the medical field for over a decade, specifically pediatrics research, I decided to go back to school to get my Teaching certification, at which point I started teaching as a substitute teacher for KCS in 2011. I later earned a Master's of Arts in Education degree from Liberty University in 2015.  I've taught K, 1st, 4th, 5th and now 6th grades.  My true passion is teaching students to never stop asking "why" and "how."
I am married to my favorite pilot, Steve.  We have two sons- Lincoln and Zeke.  As a family, we stay rather involved in our church, River Ridge, where we are a part of the Music program, and we LOVE to travel!  I enjoy coffee, running and kickboxing. I have been known to tell students (whom I encourage to run) that "sometimes I may run like a turtle, trudging through peanut butter, but it's movement, and I feel better at the end of it!"
