Hi! My name is Kate Dodson! I grew up in Ohio, but moved to West Virginia to go to the University of Charleston. I am the HMMS S.O.A.R Coach, after teaching Social Studies for many years I realized it was time for a change. I wanted to have a bigger impact on our students and our school community. My main goal is to help students succeed and be a support system for our students, teachers and parents. S.O.A.R. stands for “Supporting our School Community, Opportunities for Collaboration, Engagement and Technology, Alternative Discipline and Relationship Building”. I also hold several other titles at HMMS, including Technology Specialist and Student Council Advisor. When I’m not working, I love being at home with my dog, Eleanor!
