Ms. Harris is a graduate of West Virginia State University. She has a Bachelor of Science in Math Education. She also has a Master of Arts in Leadership Studies which she achieved at Marshall University. She has taught math at the middle and high school levels. Ms. Harris has been the Assistant Principal at Horace Mann Middle School since 2017. Her mission is to create an environment where students feel safe physically, as well as safe in their skin and overall being. Ms. Harris wants to promote love and kindness so that it permeates throughout the school community. In addition, she believes all students are capable of learning, and it is her hope that students leave Horace Mann as 8th graders who are stronger, smarter, and more sincere than when they arrived as 6th graders.
Ms. Harris loves to spend time with her family, especially her niece and nephew, Kam and Jax! She is a die-hard sports fan, basketball official, and loves spending her summers on the lake. #lakelifeisthebestlife
